I am a bookbinder offering bespoke bookbinding services. Using both traditional and modern techniques, I create custom bindings to perfectly complement the book’s contents. My work includes fine bindings, albums, portfolios, menus and theses.  I also specialise in collaborations with artists to create unusual and bespoke artist books.  I create my own artist books, exhibiting the first in my coastal walks series ‘Ebb and Flood’ at Onca Gallery in Brighton as part of their Making Tracks exhibition.

 

I trained with Peter Jones (Fellow of Designer Bookbinders) at both University of Brighton and Bookbinders of Lewes and have been awarded Highly Commended prizes in Designer Bookbinders Annual Competitions 2014 and 2015 for fine bindings of 'Breakfast at Tiffany’s' and George Orwell's '1984'.  In 2016, I was awarded The Harmatan Prize for leather finishing for a binding of Dante's La Vita Nuova. I also work as an artist, specialising in paper crafts and willow sculpture and in arts project development – visit www.becbritain.uk to find out more.
